Happy Easter! Our daughter decorated the chicks brooder with apple blossoms. This was a very hard won shot of my favorite auracana chick, Sable. The auracanas will lay green-blue eggs, and have a little wildness left in them as a breed. The chicks rarely sit still, as you can see from the fluttering wings! Posted by Picasa

Hi SemaviLady, thank you for checking in. I have to apologize, life got quite busy, but I'm back. This coming week I will be updating the blog more. The flock is older now, so there will likely be more of a focus on the needs of aging birds.

In the coming month I hope to maybe revise some things so that there are keywords to look up things like brooding, molting, etc.
